Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are actually open and can close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross household income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic cash flow won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All more info students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait nsfas 2025 until the last day.
